Tech@State gets into technology and policy  for its fourth edition Feb. 11 when we explore Open Source as software and technical culture. This hot topic is one that warms the hearts of evangelists and makes blood run cold in those who think open source software (OSS) is an invitation to mayhem. We'll seek to address both camps and educate everyone in between with morning guest speakers like:

The Open Source Tech@State event will take place over two days, with the second being an Unconference, where participants can create their own exploratory agenda with their colleagues.

• February 11 at the State Department: The first day, Friday, Feb. 11,  will be at the Department of State.
• February 12 at NDI: The Saturday unconference Feb. 12 will be at the National Democratic Institute. There is a separate Eventbrite for Saturday - REGISTER HERE.

Once you are registered, please remember these important points:

Arrive no later than 7:45am Feb. 11 at the State Department's west entrance on 23rd Street so you can proceed through security and be ready for the event to begin promptly at 8:30am. A continental breakfast will be served, so come early, eat and network. We will provide lunch during the event.
